I had an amazing experience with my stylist, Mikalah. Normally, I'm an anxious person, especially when it comes to trusting someone with my hair, but she made me feel completely at ease. From the moment I sat down, she took the time to walk me through every step of the process, explaining what she was doing and why. She was incredibly sweet and patient, making sure I felt comfortable and confident throughout the entire session. If I wanted to make any changes along the way, she was more than happy to accommodate. I left feeling so happy with my hair and will definitely be going back!
Shelby is fantastic! I went from bulky shoulder-length hair to a short shaggy cut. They checked in with me multiple times during the haircut to make sure it was what I was picturing, and styled me out. I felt the cost was well worth the service- a short scissor cut was 30 :)
When I lived in Lafayette I would get my hair cut here and never had a bad cut! I thought of them instantly when thinking about where/who I wanted to do my hair for my wedding. They knocked out 14 women's/girls' hair in 3 hours, and everyone's hair stayed into the night! The price was incredibly reasonable. They closed down the shop, played a bunch of great music, served us food/drinks (that we provided), and made us feel at home. They even let the woman doing out make-up use one of the empty chairs and mirrors. It was an amazing experience. I would recommend them to any bride.
Simply the best barbershop in town. Those looking for a hometown feel and a quirky shop, with traditional barbershop vibes... look no further. Tennessee was simply the best. She worked me in on short notice and we got to chat most of the time. Perfectly located in the heart of downtown. These women/men are the best!
I was in town taking care of my dad after my mom’s passing. My dad needed a cut and shave before the showing. We called and stopped by four different places. Bernadette’s worked us jn. They took good care of my dad and he looked great! I highly recommend Bernadette’s.
They spend good amount of time on the work required on your hair. They ask questions about what you want and how do you want your hair to be done and follow what you told them. My hairstylist, I guess they were Tennessee, was very friendly too. I had a bad day when I visited them and she was kind enough to talk to me and take me out of thoughts.

This was my third visit – once for a perm and twice for a haircut – and every time, my hair always turns out amazing. Mikalah must have been born with scissors in her hand! If you're looking for a perm, Brenda is the most desirable person without doubt. I'll definitely be coming back, because this is the best and adorable place in Lafayette.
